Font problems on unix systems

Whenever I start any GUI application I got these messages, Is it an error or its normal. If it is error how do i rectify it?
Font specified in font.properties not found [--symbol-medium-r-normal--*-%d-*-*-p-*-adobe-fontspecific]

This happens because you don't have certain fonts installed.
There should be a file under java distribution called font.properties. Either takeout the lines to the mentioned fonts from this file or have SAs install the fonts..

So where can I get these fonts for my SAs to install? are they downloadable from some where?
