Hi,
I am unable to configure my CLASSPATH for swings in the jdk1.3.1 package. I have two machines - one win98 and another Linux .... Please tell me how to configure for both the OSes. Thanx in advance

Maybe not your answer, but in Windows ME you configure your environment variables using the MSCONFIG located in the Windows\System directory. Maybe you will find a similar environment setup program for WIN98.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
