Placing awt with swings

Iam devoloping an applet with swings.Iam placing an awt applet
as a part of swing applet.Whenever the menu is clicked from the swing applet the awt component which is placed inside the swing
component overlaps.How to avoid this.Please give me a solution

There is no solution... Do not mix Swing and AWT components!... Well, actually, there is a solution... make your old Applet into a JApplet...
