Wanted: Sample Scrolling AWT Applet

I need an non-swing (AWT) sample Applet that demonstrates panning with scroll bars and the rubber banding technique to draw rectangles and line segments.
The AWT reference book has an example, but it does not show how to translate the mouse coordinates (or view port coordinates) to the underlying document coordinates (that some folks call window coordinates).
