Need help for printing

I need to print a report. Currently I am using a JTable. Is it possible to directly print the table without showing it on the screen.
The othe problem is, the tables displaying width is 800 (my screens resolution). Even if I make the table attached frames with more than that length (eg. 1000), still the table is displayed fitted to the scrren. (i.e. tables length is still 800). So my tables column withs are too this. I want to print a table wider than this. How can I do this?.
If I do this using a monitor with a different resolution, can the size of the printed table differ?
How can I print a report specifying my own sizes and which will be same size in any computer ?
