Hi,
I'm having a problem with a server application running on linux. The server creates Font objects and therefore calls GraphicsEnvironment.getLocalGraphicsEnvironment(). When starting the program on the linux machine under X11 it runs fine. But if I try to start it remotely via telnet I get a null pointer from the GraphicsContext.
The server program doesn't display any graphics, it just creates the objects and passes them to the client programs. Does anyone know a way to start the program without having to run X11 on the server? Or running a X-Term emulation on the remote machine?
Thanks,
