Hi all,

Could anyone please direct me to any info on interview specific JBoss questions & answer from System Administrator point of view? All I see is from Developer/Engineer angle.

Thanks

Looks like no takers for my query? Let me rephrase my request.

Request any advice or opinion on the extent of the knowledge required for a system admin to adequately manage JBoss service from interview point of view.
Simply put how far should a system admin have knowledge of JBoss to be considered ok for his job function?

Depends on the requirements of the company which is recruiting. At the very basic, i would expect a system admin to know how to install/configure various components in the server and debug issues related to the server.

Good topics to cover would be:

* Clustering
* How it runs under virtualisation
* Basics of Datasource and Transaction management configuration
* Performance tuning

I'd recommend going to jboss.com or jboss.org for more suggestions/topics

For the future, note that this tends to happen over the weekend. Your post was a Saturday (or at least it was in my timezone.) For that matter, it is still a holiday in the US today so not everybody is back yet.

I'll add that it is probably good to know how to install, upgrade and configure the software.

I thought may be I did not make myself clear, that's why there was no response. That was the reason for my 2nd post. Now understood the reason behind it. Thanks for clarifying.
