Hello Ranchers,

I'm an SCJP, working in India as a J2ee developer for the past 3 years. I'm considering moving to Australia to further my career. I've seen several job openings on Australian sites for J2ee professionals with atleast 3 years exp.

I've heard that its quite difficult to get into IT in Australia without local Aussie work exp. Is that right? In that case do certifications like SCJP/SCWCD help? I have an option to study Masters in IT in Sydney. Would that help me later in fetching a job?

unless you have professional experience from like USA or UK in major projects yes it is diffcult to get into the job you want without australian commercial experience just with those certifications.
maybe chances will be better for you if you have an australian postgraduate master degree but you still need to perform well during the interviews to be able to get into the role you like to have
