Can anyone show me a working code snippet that uses the write() method of the RTFEditorKit to obtain the selected part of a JTextPane in an OutputStream ...

This is not possible at this time... read the bug report on this problem on Sun's site...

any idea of how to copy RTF text to the clipboard ?
