I want to add a transperant Panel over a Frame.
Can any please suggest how to do it?
Any help will be appreciated.

what is the reason for adding a transparent panel?
A JFrame already has a transparent pane, the GlassPane. Maybe this is enough for you?

Welcome to the JavaRanch! Please adjust your displayed name to meet the
JavaRanch Naming Policy.
You can change it here.

Hmmm... maybe you should look at the GlassPane API that Rene suggested... JPanel also has a setOpaque() method that might be of use to you...

Thanks! and welcome to the JavaRanch!
