Heavyweight means 'draw your GUIs using the current platform libraries' Windows machines have windows look and feel. Called heavyweight because is going into the machine to find out how to draw. Swing is not heavyweight and will look the same everywhere (ie it knows how to draw itself)
2.what are trusted and untrusted applets?and difference between them?
Trusted - you know the source.
3.how to load a html from a applet?
Load into what (your own frame or a 3rd party browser, etc)
4.difference between and a frame?default layouts of them?
...and what else?
5.what are grid and grid baglayout?which is more advantages?
Grid is as it sounds, 'split my drawing area into so many columns and rows' components are then added starting at the top left corner and are added left to right. When the top row is full move to the next row down.
GridBag starts with the same principle but is a lotr more complicated. GridBag is alot more powerful and infinitely more painful. If you can master it great. If you dont care to, use a combination of the other layout managers.
6.difference applet and a japplet?
Dont know
7.layout for CARD in swing?
8.what is applet flickering and how to reduce it?
This is to with the repainting of your screen, try buffering your images in memory and when your ready then repaint.
9.can a swing application if uploaded to the net,be compatible with the browser?if not what should we do to make it compatable?
If youre putting swing in an Applet dont. It will involve all your browsers needing a swing download to support, not reasonable to ask internet users to do. Intranet users maybe. Best (quickest) to use HTML, JSPs, Servlets, etc if you can. If you really must then use AWT.
10.what is a applet stub interface?
11.In a html form i have a button which makes a page to open in 15 seconds?how to do that?
Either use javascript on the client, or a servlet on the server. This cant be achieved in HTML
