Stop Gif animation

Hi all. I wanted to add gif images to my swing application, but dont want the animation to occur. Is there some way i can achieve it?

try to change the type of the image to jpg for example

Does the gif contain animation?
If yes, you may need to use some software to remove the animation such as (Adobe PhotoShop)
or try to print screen then cut it to wherever you want.
