I don't know if this would be really useful, can we email a user when his/her post gets answered?

You seem to have overlooked the Watch Topic feature (which is a bit strange since you posted in that thread )

Hi Jothi,

If the user has started the thread, he can set an option "Email Notification" which is a checkbox along with the other options available just below the graemlins and buttons.

It notifies the user as and when there is a reply to the thread by sending an email to the registered email address.

Is that what you are looking for?

If you are not the owner of the thread, Watch Topic is the only source as of now i think

The "Watch Topic" button is better suited for this, because you can turn it off - you can't turn off the "Email Notification" feature of UBB once it's set.

But still the "Watch Topic" has only 20 as the limit set at present, whereas this you can have as many threads you own right!?

Ulf, is there any possibility to relax the maxCount of threads can be watched per user?

Funny you should mention that. The code to remove that limit was installed already, and rebooting the server yesterday has pushed it "live". So try it now, you should be able to watch an unlimited number of topics.
