I have made a standalone application by the use of swings. On click of an icon on desktop this application should start for the other users. How do i go about it ?
Thanks in advance.

Make the application an executable JAR File and put a shortcut on the desktop.

Or make a batch file or shell script to launch it and put a shortcut to that on the desktop.

I came to know that there is a provision to convert the java into exe
(using GCJ !). Any idea about how to go about it.
Thanks in advance

GCJ doesn't support native compilation of any GUI stuff yet... it says so right in their FAQ!
