JEditorPane problems

I am using a simple JEditorPane which displays an HTML file from a local URL. The following problems I am facing:
1. The HTML page displays differently in the Internet Explorer and in the JEditorPane. The font sizes are different and also the fomatting of the text is different.
2. I am using Java Printing API to print contents from the JEditorPane. I need a small font size so because of this the text of the HTML page isn't displayed correct that is, the resolution is quite low. Is there any way to increase the resolution for viewing in the JEditorPane and then take printout of the contents of the JEditorPane at a smaller font size.
