Line brake in JLabel?

Hi there!

Is there a way to display a String on multiple lines?
I know that I can use a JTextArea, remove the border, disable the element and so on... but:

When I create a JLabel and set a text in it, the JLabel will be exactly as big as the text is. That won't work with a JTextArea, or am I wrong? I also want the text to break when its width is larger than the space it gets. But I don't know how long the text is. I want the JTextArea to fit to the text vertically and horizontally (like the JLabel does that horizontally).

Is that possible to realize with a JTextArea or is there another solution?

Ah, I found the solution with setting the preferred size and using html tags, then I don't have to specify where the text breaks, it just breaks when the specified preferred size is reached.
