Is it possible to put a DOS window into a JPanel? If it is possible will it still have the same funcitions as a regular DOS window?

If you mean the actual DOS Command prompt, then no. You could emulate one using a JTextArea and issue commands through Runtime().exec(...).

I guess the real question is why do you want to do this?
