I am having difficulty with a combobox in Java. I have the combobox set up the items are loaded from a database. That all works. After the 100 or so items are loaded from the database and I click on the combobox arrow to display the combobox list, the combobox list extends the whole length of my frame and overlaps into my button area so the bottom of the combobox is not seen. Does anyone know of any properties or methods to fix this? I have tried many different things, but so far no success.

There is no ComboBox component in Java. So, what are you really using?

Are you using a List or a Choice?

ComboBox is a VisualCafe component. I didn't realize it was not "standard" java. Anyway, as it turns out, the order in which the combobox is placed on the panel was causing it to show its drop down list behind some of the other components. I resolved my problem by putting the combobox on the panel first. Thanks for your posting!
