Why just .gif files?

Hi All,

I have repeatedly heard that images should be displayed from .gif files, as though some other kind of image file would cause java problems.

However, just for drill I've successfully tried .jpg and .bmp files.

Does anyone know the reason for using only .gif files?

Thank You in Advance for Your Help,

Lou
