SWT package error

Hi everybody,

I'm new (as a JAVA-programmer as well as a member of the community).

I try to create a simple SWT-Shell. I use Eclipse 3.0.1. When I start the Main-Class as a Java-Application (not as Java Bean) I get the following message:

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: C:\Programme\Java\eclipse\plugins\org/eclipse/swt/win32_3/0/1\ws\win32
Exception in thread "main"

I already set in the configuration (arguments, VM-arguments) a variable called "java.library.path" with the value
"C:\Programme\Java\eclipse\plugins\org.eclipse.swt.win32_3.0.1\ws\win32". Here the Application-builder can find the file "swt.jar".

If I try to compile with "javac" on Command-line I get as a first error the message "package org.eclipse.swt.widgets.Shell does not exist".

What's wrong?

Thanks in advance!

Peter
