How draw background (behind image) in only one part, and draw buttons/components?

OK, I know how to draw the background behind a JWindow using Robot (I found the code - see below), but I'm not sure how to draw my JWindow as normal (with buttons, panels, etc) EXCEPT for the corners which I want rounded and transparent. Can anyone help me here? I'm not totally certain how to go about this.

Thanks!

OK, here's the transparent code I found, which draws a see-though window with a circle.

With a little knowledge, a cast iron skillet is non-stick and lasts a lifetime.
