Last week I sent a PM to a poster and had a reply via ordinary e-mail which said my PM box was full. I actually have an astronomical number of PMs on file: 17. I am susprised the capacity for PMs is so few.
From the bottom of the 'My Private Messages' page:
You may only store 60 private messages. If you reach the maximum, no one will be able to send you a private message. Please delete old private messages!
I believe that the total includes both received messages and sent messages. The actual total possible may be a little higher than the message indicates.

Thank you. I had never noticed that. I have over 40 "sent" messages, so that must bring me up to the limit. I shall have to get the delete key working. [ April 11, 2008: Message edited by: Campbell Ritchie ]
