event listening for jtable

friends,
i am doing a pgm in which there is a GUI with JTable in it.
i want the user to select(click) one of the rows and when he does so, i want to catch the event. but i am unable to do that as i find no event listeners that can be added to jtable. the listSelection listener did not help us. as our dead line as neared please send your ideas/suggestions immediately. i will be happy if you mail to me rather than posting it here. because in our office we can access net only after 4 pm.

Hmmm... if I wanted to observe row selection, the ListSelectionListener
is what I would use. Can you explain why it "didn't help?"
