When I try to reply to an old thread, Javaranch warns me saying
The posts in this thread are old....do you still want to reply to this thread?

And I get one option - a 'OK' button, which will take me to the screen where I can post my message.
Shouldn't there be another option 'Cancel' which should make the life easier for the poster, if he / she doesn't want to continue posting?

I think the problem is you get a pop-up window with the message. You can then click "ok" or the little "x" icon to close the window. Whichever you click on, you go to the "post a reply" screen.

So, you get a pop-up you have to dismiss, and THEN click the back button.

certainly not a show-stopper, but i can see how this would be annoying if you are trying to post to a lot of really old threads, and decide each time you don't really want to.
