I want to convert an html page with simple test link and irm src tags to a cooler looking interface.

Should I go the applet route or the java application route.

Please make your question more clear..
Do you want your page just to looks more beautifull?
Don't forget Applets are heavy applications for some pc's (browsers and Internet connection) or you wanna have a dynamic page (try servlets)...
