Hello there

Someone's got an open source Java 3D model of the earth - a globus?
I'm looking for a simple java-program that i could use to display a satellite's orbit (not in a very detailed way, just a basic oval that shows how far out from the earth the satelite is, the orbit's "tilting" compared to the equatorial line, etc)
Does anybody have a java-program i could use? The code has to be open source, for me to try out different orbits and set different viewpoints etc, to be able to find what looks good visually.

I thought this would be basic stuff, but after asking most of my programmer friends, noone has a program like that! I just want to use it as a starting point for learning more about Java 3D and see how my changes in the code would affect the 3D model...

I'll be grateful if someone has something like this that i could use...

The SunSphere applet may be a starting point. It doesn't work on that page (missing some class file), but you can download the source from the page.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
