I am trying to use TreeTable from the link below.
http://java.sun.com/products/jfc/tsc/articles/treetable1/
Above example suggest to dowload Swing 1.1 Beta 2,but i am not able to find any link for the same.
Actually i am using j2sdk 1_4_2 , Is that a problem. Do i need to upgrade to j2sdk 1_5 for making this example work.

Welcome to the Ranch.

The easiest thing to do is to copy out all their classes, see whether it compiles, and then download J5 if it doesn't.

Don't know whether you have to use J5; go through the API specification for your classes, and see whether any of them say "since 1.5".
I have never heard it called Swing 1.1 before, but it would do no harm to download J2SE5.0. Actually you can get a beta version of J6.

The article has to be from some time around 1998, when Swing still was a separate download.

It isn't anymore. Simply using Java2 1.4 should work.

Thanks. Its working now. I just changed some of imports
for example
//import com.sun.java.swing.tree.*;
//import com.sun.java.swing.table.*;

to

import javax.swing.table.*;
import javax.swing.tree.*;

I am still using j2sdk 1.4..so there is no problem with jdk version.
