hello all,

how can I design a Panel that goes up stays for a certain amount of time and then disapears.

(similar to Instant messaging popups when one of your buddies just got connected)

thanks a lot

Start a new thread, launch a JWindow with your component(s) on it and after the desired amount of time call dispose on it.
