We're pleased to announce the availability of version 7.0b7 of Jess, the Rule Engine for the Java Platform. This will be the last beta version, to be followed by a final release candidate. You can download a free trial version here: http://www.jessrules.com/download.shtml The JessML XML rule language and its associated tools have been extended in this version: JessML is now a hybrid imperative/declarative language, such that you can not only write rules, but also procedural code. Most files of Jess language code can be translated directly into JessML and will execute the same way. Jess 7.0b7 features improved Content Assist in the JessDE editor and fixes some lingering issues with the "accumulate" CE.
