Don't see "Notify me when someone responds"

This really isn't a JSP message, but I'm hoping the bartender will respond anyway.

When I compose a new message, I no longer have the option to check the checkbox that says "Notify me when someone responds" (or words to that effect). There are now only two checkboxes "Show Signature" and "Disable smiles in this post".

What happened to the notification option?

I don't see that Notification was added to the "My Profile" section either.

I do not see it either...not sure if it is removed. If you click on the watch topic button, there is a checkbox to watch all topics you start. That might get you in the right direction for now.

After you submit a post, you're returned to the thread you just posted to. At that point, there are big light brown "watch topic" buttons. Pressing either one of those will add a watch for this topic. This works whether you originated the topic or not.

The old checkbox and the new(er) "Watch topic" button were connected to two different notification systems. The old one has been shut off and the notifications migrated to the new system. The old checkbox has been removed so that the old system can now be decommissioned.
