I am working on a swing application which logs (using java.util.Logger) activities based on certain criteria.
In the same application, I also need to provide a log analysis and audit functionality. I am planning to use JFreeChart for this purpose.

The logs generated are in XML format with typical <record></record> tags (which correspond to my customized LogRecord, which has all the getter and setters I require) and the record contains all the information I need.

Is there any way I can read from the log file and reconstruct the customized LogRecord? Please note I am not a server side coder and as such SAX and DOM and parsers are all greek to me!
