how to disable the top bar in a Frame

Hi all, i have a little app, with an JMenuBar, i want that the JInternalFrames do not show their top bar, i managed to disable the close, minimize and maximize buttons of this bar, but i want to disable the whole thing. how can i do it.

disable? = get rid of?

setNorthPane(null); --> that works ok. Thanks.
