I'm new to Java programming and just cleared SJCP2. Now I'm on my way to Learn servlets and want some hints on how to go about.
Should I start with famous O'really book or I should learn JDBC before stepping in to world of servlets.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Rajiv

Do Servlets depend on JDBC? Can they just be used together as one of many apps, or are they co-dependants?

Servlets do not depend on JDBC.
They can be used as one of many apps.
I think the best way to get started is use the sun tutorials. Very short and to the point. The books blather on about all sorts of stuff you don't need. The O'Reilly book is too outdated to put up with the blathering.
