Tomcat and Apache session object

Hello.
We are running Tomcat 3.0 and Apache 1.3 on Solaris 5.7
We are having a problem with the HttpSession object when running
under Apache.
We have Apache running at port 9040 and Tomcat at 9042.
If we run the sample:
examples/servlet/SessionExample
at port 9042, it works, but at port 9040, it does not.
Is this fixed in the newer versions, or do I have to set
something up differently.

I don't have an answer for your problem, but a mere suggestion.
1) configure Apache and Tomcat to listen on the same port.
