This week's book giveaway is in the OO, Patterns, UML and Refactoring forum. We're giving away four copies of Refactoring for Software Design Smells: Managing Technical Debt and have Girish Suryanarayana, Ganesh Samarthyam & Tushar Sharma on-line! See this thread for details.
This is probably not jsp topic but may have some effect all the same. File name is case sensitive in jdk1.2.2 and earlier version but not in jdk1.3 in Window98, DOS. If you try to compile a file "testme.java" with the command "javac testme/Testme/testMe or TestMe.java", the compiler will accept all of them in jdk1.3; not so with earlier versions. What do you think about it?
That is a surprise! Have you checked the other command line usages to see if they are now case-insensitive?

Actually, I am hoping somebody would tell me about jdk1.3 with other command lines. It seems that case insensitive is not the only oddity in jsk1.3; it has been reported recently at the "cafe au lait" website that the method "main" does not need to be public anymore! Hopefully, all these will be clarified in the near future.
