I'm not familiar with Orion Server, but if it follows the Servlet 2.2 specification, then all classes should be in a standard package tree in a WEB-INF/classes directory below the root for your web application. Depending on your server and its configuration, it may auto-compile java source files if placed in the same directory.

It must be in the classpath as defined to Orion. Rarely are servlet directories on the classpath. There should be a local-classes directory.

To clarify my suggestion above, The Servlet 2.2 spec defines the layout of a web application as follows:

So, if your JSP files are happily working in /blah/mydir/something
you should put your java source files or compiled classes in
/blah/mydir/something/WEB-INF/classes
Does this help?
