Servlet to Applet

Hi Friends.. I have a small problem. I am Trying a load an applet in out.println's of servlet. But the applet is not loading. HelloApplet.class is in the same Directory of my servlet Directory. Actually i was trying for Servlet to applet communication.. with Html forms as Front end. This is a module in my project please help me out..
Tell me if there is any syntax error in the code..

out.println("<APPLET code = HelloApplet.class>");
out.println("</APPLET>");
