SSI vs JSP's

Hi!
Servlets usually generate full html pages.
Servlets, however can also be embedded inside html pages with something called server-side include (SSI) functionality.
Each page is written as a static html page with one or more SSI directives. The file is saved with an extension of .shtml.
So, my question is why to use JSP's if all can be done using SSI's.

I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
