JSDK2.1: startserver

hi everyone,

I have JSDK2.1 installed on my system. But when i click on startserver.bat or run it through DOS i get this error: bad command or file name.
i have C:\jsdk2.1\servlet.jar in my classpath. i cant figure out the problem. Can someone please help me.

I wish there was a button on my monitor to turn up the intellegince.

Do check if you have got your JAVA_HOME variable set properly.

add c:\jsdk2.1\server.jar also to your class path and then try it. on my machine it runs with both the jar files in the classpath.

Hi Harsha,
If its windows set the following path.
set classpath=C:\java_home\lib\tools.jar;C:\jsdk2.1;%classpath%
Once u have set the path restart your computer.
Then go to the command prompt say cd jsdk2.1 and then give the command
startserver.Hopefully this will solve your problem.

Note:java_home directory is the directory where u have installed
your jdk1.2 or jdk1.3 or whatever.
