Servlets/JDBC Support Left Outer Joins

I searching for and example of a servlet that used JDBC ver 1.0 or 2.0. That performs a SQL Left Outer Join.
I know the DB2 engine supports a SQL Left Outer Join.
Will a Servlet using JDBC work?
