I'm invloved in coding of an applet client, which request for a particular .txt file on the server. The servlets are there in apache webserver running on Linux Box. I append the query string to the url and using URLConnection object's "getInputStream" method I try to read from that txt file and place the strings on my front end. It works fine with jdk1.2.2 base but as jdk1.2.2 eats up much memory during runtime. we are in the processing of downgrading our software to jdk1.1.6. Though the directory hierarchy is still maintained, the server throws a "FileNotFoundException" when it reaches the getInputStream method. Someone please help me with this.
Thanks and regards,
