Hi, Supposed request is an object of HttpServletRequest type.
request.getAuthType() returns the scheme specified for the header Authorization which is either "basic" or " digest". What does "basic" mean? What does "digest" mean?

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
