hi everybody...
i have made 6 combo boxes in my form .in this particular form i have two text boxes in which i am getting data from database ie calling a new jsp page in which the data comes in table format.
the problem is that when i am inserting data in the two text boxes...thriugh this particular table
the value set in combo boxes disapper (comes to default value)bcoz the page gets refreshed..
is there any other alternative for this...

This is really an HTML problem, not a servlets problem.
When you generate the combo boxes, all you have to do is include the work SELECTED in the option that you want to be shown as selected by default.
<option value="001" SELECTED >Text that will be shown selected.
