i have java web server2.0 installed .
the problem is that when i try to load a .shtml file for using server side include facility it gives me page not found error.
servlet alias is set properly as

*.shtml ssinclude
even if i try loading the servlet ssinclude directly it gives me forbidden error( 403) in I.E. 5.0.
please help me
should the shtml files be placed in some specific directory ?

hi sagar,

u should place all u'r .shtml files in public_html directory of JavaWebserver.
And just call the .shtml file by typing the path like this;
http://localhost:8080/abc.shtml
Remember to place .shtml file in public_html dir and not anywhere else and call the file as mentioned above.
Try it and get back..
Good luck!!

regds,
Sandeep.
