We r just fresh java learners.We were trying out the server side includes with HTML,but they are not running.Servlet tag is not being recognised.
COuld please someone help us out.

The 1st thing that occurs to me is: Does the server you're using support SSI?
The one where I have my pages doesn't (GeoCities), at least last time I looked.
For the old, regular SSIs, the HTML file extension has to be .shtml instead of .html.
