Hello ,
I am very eager to know how a jsp page is converted to servlet by the jspengine?
To be more specific where are the JSP tags stored and how does the engine recognise the tags?Is there any tag library?
How are tags used to develop servlets from JSP?
Thanking You,
Sagar

There is a JSP "engine" that translates the jsp page into the Java source code for a servlet - then this code is compiled and loaded as a servlet. The exact tags and usages are laid out in great detail in the JSP API - you can download it from java.sun.com

The website www.orionserver.com has a nice taglib tutorial if you want to learn about custom tags.
