Sun Certified Java Programmer for Java 2. Sun has three levels of Java certification. This is the first level, where you demonstrate competancy in the core language and APIs.

Pl. chk out this article where they walk you thru a simple example on servlet.
ps: IMHO, you need to understand servlets before JSP.
