Hi Rekha Solution is Make a short cut to MS DOS prompt on ur Desktop. Right click on the shortcut icon and goto Memory Tab Set the initial Environment memory to 4096 or above. Click Ok and then open DOS promt from that short cut. Now run Tomcat. Tomcat should run fine. Hope the above helps

okay, try following this thread. http://www.javaranch.com/ubb/Forum7/HTML/002630.html What Hemanth said is the right solution. However, does this apply only to the DOS windows from that shortcut? is the qstn bothering me. I am not sure of this..... Try opening a DOS window from the Programs menu and do the same. Right Mouse Bitton on top -> Properties -> Memory tab. yada yada yada..... regds. - satya
