I have a UNIX application which runs on Apache/Tomcat. It needs query the database and store the results in an MS Excel file (.xls), which can be opened from MS Windows environment later.
Anyone knows how to create a .xls file from a UNIX web server?
Thanks in advance!

It has a Java-COM bridge though my server was running on NT.
