Jakarta-Tomcat installation

I installed Jakarat-Tomacat & also I set all the path like :
set JAVA_HOME=c:\jdk1.3;
set CLASSPATH=%JAVA_HOME%\lib\tools.jar;
set JAKARTA_TOMCAT=c:\Program Files\Apache\Jakarta-Tomcat;
This is enabling me to start & stop the server,but I had two folder called Admin & root in which I had servlets and classes folder. I am saving my all java file in classes and html files in sevlets folder,but I could not able to get the result because my code doesn't compile properly,it'll give me lot's of error.
Please tell me how to solve the problem...
